CyPSA 8 Substation Model
- About: The 8 substation model for CyPSA
captures connections between electrical power substation
networks and the assets contained within their substation
yards.
- Location: CPTL
Model Repository
- Converters: There are currently no
scripts to convert data sources to the CPTL data models
used.
- Graphs: The current version contains two
graphs for each of the 8 substations: one graph
captures the substation network topology, the other
graph captures the connections within the substation
yard assets. In addition, a merged graph of all assets
for all 8 substations is provided.
- Hierarchy Trees: The current version will
contain hierarchy trees to browse assets hierarchically
by URI.
- Icons: There are basic icons for assets
in the substation yard (based on PowerWorld icons) as
well as those for a substation network. Other icon
sets, in time, may be added.
- Ontologies: Several ontologies are used
by the CPTL model including those for assets within a
substation network and substation yard.
- Resolvers: One resolver is provided to
retrieve a CPTL graph given a UUID.
- Schemas: Schemas for each of the types of
graphs (substation network, substation yard) have been
provided as well as the merged graph (8
substation).

Below are some images of the model made possible by
an alpha version the CPTL Model Browser tool. In the following image,
substation network links are highlighted in blue, substation yard links are highlighted in orange, and cyber-physical links
are shown with dashed green lines. A critical asset, shown in red, is highlighted.
